Torrey's Redrock Races 2013!

Start gearing up for Torrey’s Redrock Races on July 27, 2013!

Come run or walk one of the most beautiful courses in the world! This year’s race will follow the same breathtaking course as last year, starting at the Forest Service in Building in Teasdale and offering spectacular scenery of the Boulder Mountains, Thousand Lake Mountains, and the Velvet Ridges as you cross the Fremont River into the beautiful, tree-lined streets of Torrey.

This year we have a new registration spot: the Torrey Park Pavilion at 100 N 100 E in Torrey. Registration will run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. You can also pre-register at http://www.active.com/10k-race/torrey-ut/torreys-redrock-races-2013 or by calling the town office and registering with the town clerk at 1-435-425-3600.

The race will begin at the Forest Service Building in Teasdale, but transportation will be provided from the registration area at the Park Pavilion.

All racers will receive a T-shirt and medal, with a cash prize going to the overall winners of the 5K and 10K runs. A light breakfast will be provided after the race at the Park Pavilion.

The entry fee is $25.00 for individuals for the 5k, $30 for the 10k. You can sign up as a family team (4-6 people) and receive a $10 discount per team. Kids under 10 can race (or rock out in a stroller!) for free. The registration fee includes a t-shirt and transportation to the race start. Find a list of motels and restaurants in the area on the Wayne County website www.waynecountyutah.org under “Travel Council.”

We’re also excited to announce our brand new Pasta Nosh for this year’s race! Come join us Friday night (July 26) at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious, homemade pasta dinner at the Pavilion. Get your carb-load on and meet your fellow racers for just $7 a plate for adults and $5 for kids.

After the race there is a lot to see in our beautiful area with Capitol Reef National Park just 5 miles from Torrey. You’ll find many beautiful hiking trails, petroglyphs, historic sites, and more, and you can also take a drive up Highway 12, an all-American scenic byway.

We'd also like to extend a special thank you to our wonderful sponsors:
